Shan’s Chalet is perfect for hosting two couples or small families, sleeping 4 very comfortably, with a sofa bed in the living room that houses an air mattress for a sleeping option for children.
Upon entering the home, you will enjoy a stone fireplace with gas logs. The kitchen ties into the living area with a stone island with barstools for casual eating. Also on the main floor is a bedroom with a queen-sized bed, full bathroom with tub, and laundry room. Upstairs is the second bedroom, which also has a queen-sized bed. There is an en suite bathroom with a shower stall.
From the main level, the living room and kitchen open to a covered porch with a large grill, table for 4, and an additional seating area for 4 that centers around a propane fire table - perfect for chilly fall nights! There is also an uncovered portion of the deck that provides an open area for playing games or lounging in the sun.
The home is located within the lovely Powder Horn Mountain community, with more than 10 miles of hiking trails, playgrounds, seasonally-open outdoor pool, and lake activities (fishing, swimming, and kayaking/canoeing) available to all guests. Guests have unlimited access to the PHM clubhouse, which offers large spaces for gathering, a fitness room, game room (pool, air hockey, and foosball) and library.
Convenient to Boone, Blowing Rock, and Lenoir, guests are offered the option of exploring the area or remaining in our lovely community for the duration of their stay.
