If renting, a 4x4 is recommended (ideally in Costa Rica a 4wd is generally recommended due to the mountain roads that can get slick due to frequent rain, and greater flexibility).
Distance to Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO): approximately 68.5 km / 1 hour 10 minutes
We can arrange reliable private transportation or shuttle service from the airport (and anywhere else). Pricing starts at $130 one-way for up to 4 passengers ($10 per additional guest). No Uber or Lyft service is available in this area, so advance arrangements are essential.
