Port Clyde House | Gardenwalk Crest, Elevated Harbor Views, Dock & Boathouse, Village Setting

3 Bedroom House in Port Clyde

Newly renovated Gardenwalk Crest is a 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath ocean view home set on an elevated rise overlooking Port Clyde and its working harbor, with sweeping views to Muscongus Bay. This location offers a rare combination of harbor views, outdoor space, and proximity to the village, while still feeling slightly tucked away from the center of activity. With gardens, dock access, and strong indoor-outdoor living, this is a classic coastal Maine retreat designed to be enjoyed year round.
This home follows a traditional Maine cape layout, with comfortable, well-defined rooms and a natural flow between spaces. The main open feel is in the combined living and dining area, enhanced by large windows and sliding glass doors that connect seamlessly to the outdoor deck.
While the home accommodates up to six guests, it is best suited for a family or two couples who appreciate a classic coastal home with both indoor and outdoor living.
As you arrive, you can park inside the two-bay garage or in the off-road spaces in front. The property sits on a sloping lot with generous lawns, a hammock, a large shade tree, and a professionally maintained flower garden. The gardens attract butterflies and birds and create a peaceful setting for relaxing, reading, or painting.
The setting is especially inviting, with open harbor views, coastal light, and beautiful sunsets. Whether enjoying your morning coffee outside or winding down in the evening, the property naturally encourages you to slow down and take in your surroundings.
Entering the home, you come through the kitchen, which has a clean, modern feel. The kitchen includes a full-size refrigerator with ice maker and filtered water, range with oven, dishwasher, and all cookware and dining essentials. A Keurig, standard coffee maker, toaster, and blender are provided. The island offers seating for three.
To the right of the kitchen is a half bath, along with a laundry area including washer, dryer, folding space, and pantry storage.
Moving into the main living area, the dining and living room create a comfortable shared space. The dining table seats six, and the living area includes a sofa, armchairs, and a smart flat screen TV with cable and streaming capability.
Large windows and sliding glass doors across the front of the home bring in natural light and create an easy indoor-outdoor connection.
The doors open to an ocean-facing deck with lounge chairs, a dining table for six, a grill, and a fire pit, making it a natural place to gather throughout the day and into the evening.
Upstairs, there are two king bedrooms, both with ocean views, along with a third bedroom with two twin beds and a partial view of the harbor. Each room includes L.L. Bean bedding, closets, and bedside lighting. A full bathroom with soaking tub and tile shower is located on this level.
This home is designed to be enjoyed year round. In the warmer months, the gardens, harbor views, and outdoor spaces invite you outside, while the large tree offers shade on sunny afternoons. In fall, the landscape shifts with changing leaves and coastal light. In the colder months, the home becomes a cozy retreat for gathering, reading, writing, playing board games, working on puzzles, or simply slowing down together. Many guests also enjoy spending holidays here in a classic coastal Maine setting.
Around the Fourth of July, you may see fireworks from the surrounding harbor area. These are typically set off by local residents and may appear in different directions across the water.
Just below the deck is the cutting garden with a winding stone walkway. From there, a meandering path leads down toward the waterfront where you will find the dock and boathouse.
The shoreline here is tidal. At high tide, the water comes in close to the dock, and at low tide the mud flats are fully exposed. A ladder off the dock allows for swimming at higher tides.
The dock and boathouse are located just across a right-of-way along Co-op Road, where you may see local lobstermen heading to and from the wharf throughout the day. This is part of the character of a working harbor and adds to the authentic coastal experience.
Due to the tidal nature of the waterfront, launching boats or kayaks directly from the property is not always practical.
Just down Co-op Road, you can purchase fresh lobster directly from local fishermen and bring it back to prepare at home.
Area Amenities: Gardenwalk Crest is located just outside the center of Port Clyde, approximately a quarter mile from the main village area. Guests can easily walk or bike into town to enjoy coffee, a drink, or light fare at The Squid Ink, breakfast or lunch at the historic Ocean House Dining Room, and casual waterfront dining at The Dip Net, known for fried seafood served right on the wharf. For additional options, enjoy live music and casual dining at The Barn Café, fresh seafood at The Black Harpoon, and dessert from Village Ice Cream. Several local art galleries are also located throughout the village, reflecting Port Clyde’s long-standing connection to artists and coastal inspiration.
Take a day trip to Monhegan Island aboard the Monhegan Boat Line, located right in the village. The trip offers beautiful views of the Maine coast, and Monhegan Island is known for its hiking trails, artist community, and dramatic shoreline.
The nearby public town landing provides parking, dock access, and a consistent place to launch kayaks or small boats. The Port Clyde General Store dock and marina offers gas, diesel, mooring services, and slip space for guests traveling with boats or arranging rentals.
Kayaks and paddleboards can be rented locally through Port Clyde Kayaks. Bicycles can be rented from Maine Sport in Rockland. Guests may also rent small boats, including Boston Whalers, through Port Harbor Marine, and arrange mooring or slip space through the Port Clyde General Store dock and marina.
Drift Inn Beach is about a mile away and offers a beautiful tidal beach experience. Nearby Marshall Point Lighthouse, famously featured in Forrest Gump, is one of the most iconic coastal landmarks in Maine. Port Clyde and nearby Tenants Harbor also offer local art galleries and coastal experiences.
For families traveling with children, the area is close to Blueberry Cove Camp, Herring Gut Coastal Science Center, and the St. George Sailing Club. Advance registration is strongly recommended, as these programs often fill quickly.
If additional space is needed for guests, we recommend the nearby Ocean House Hotel in Port Clyde.
Provided for your convenience are linens, bath towels, washcloths, hand towels, six beach towels, and six beach chairs. You will also find your first tank of propane for the grill and fire pit, dish soap, laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, cable television, and wireless internet. This home is on town water.
While we make every effort to assure the accuracy of this listing, as well as the condition of equipment and quality of provided services, we make no implied guarantee of connectivity for wireless internet or services provided by third parties.
