If you do decide to utilize the shuttle service, please keep in mind that you'll need to switch to 4x4 rental cars or taxis before navigating the mountain road up to the property. A third option is to fly into San Jose and then take a 20-minute commuter flight into Quepos, which is a half-hour north of Dominical town.
Top outdoor activities in the vicinity include surfing, kayaking, hiking, zip-lining, parasailing, river rafting, snorkeling, horseback rides, and inshore and offshore fishing trips. Fly fishing tours are also becoming popular along the Savegre River.
And, of course, there is the area's diverse wildlife, which will completely blow your mind. It's common to spot white-faced and howler monkeys at the property. If you're lucky, you'll set your sights on a sloth, too. Scarlet macaws, toucans, and parrots regularly navigate the jungle canopy nearby, while blue morpho butterflies love to say hello during those morning cups of coffee taken on the balcony overlooking the sea.
There are also supermarkets, banks, and pharmacies within a 20-minute drive of The Jade House.
