This house is built into a hillside with a main level and a lower walkout level on Portage Lake. This home has 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths, two complete, kitchens with dishwashers, two laundry rooms, plus many amenities. Both kitches have granite counter tops and the house is equipped with a central vaccum system.
This home is 3,600 square feet for living area and 2,200 square feet of deck area. This home is perfect for your vacation in the Houghton and Hancock area of the Keweenaw Peninsula and waterway.
The Main Level:
The large living room has vaulted ceilings, 50' flat screen satellite HDTV, smart tv, surround sound system and two pullout queen size sofas for extra guest. A large walk-in closet for all your gear. Patio doors open onto the large paver walk-around deck furnished with outdoor furniture for sitting and relaxing. There is a complete kitchen including a dishwasher and a laundry room with a washer and dryer.
There are two bedrooms on this level. The master bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and the attached bathroom has a double skin, shower and a whirlpool tub. The other bedroom has a queen-size bed and a twin mattress in the loft of this bedroom. There is a 2nd full bath with a tub/shower combination. on the main floor. The main level offers over 1800 square feet of living area and 1200 square feet of deck. The interior is finished with the timber frame style. The main floor will sleep 9 guests.
The Walk out lower level:
The lower level is a complete living area with 9' ceilings. The family room is furnished with a 50' flat screen satellite HDTV, smart tv, surround sound system and two pull out sofas: one queen-size and one full-size. There is a dining room and another complete kitchen with a dishwasher. There is a 2nd laundry room with washer and dryer. There are two bedrooms on the lower level with a king-size bed in one bedroom and two twin beds in the other bedroom. There is a full bathroom with a tile walk-in shower with multiple heads. The lower level offers 1800 square feet of living area with over 1000 square feet of covered porch overlooking Portage Lake. Radiaint in-floor heating in the lower level will keep you cozy all year round. The lower level will sleep 8 guests.
We provide bedding and towels; all you have to bring is your consumable goods. We also have a fire pit set up outside overlooking Portage Lake for your evening campfires and a gas grill for outdoor grilling.
This house is located right next door to Sandy Bottom Beach where there is a sandy swimming beach and a boat ramp so bring your boat for cruising on Portage Lake, fishing, or water sports.
We are located on Trail #3 so leave right from the house on your snowmobile.
