Welcome to The Matterhorn, a modern duplex in West Vail with a prime locale between two complimentary shuttles in West Vail and Cascade. This home is perfect for two families with kids or a fun friend getaway. After an awesome day of skiing, warm up in the private hot tub followed by a movie night next to the cozy fireplace. In warmer months, take leisurely strolls to Gore Creek for fly fishing, visit the Gessner Restaurant & Bar for live music, or have a kid-friendly day at Donovan Park and Pavillion. You can even follow the scenic river path 1.7 miles to Lionshead Village or continue on to Vail Village. Kid-friendly perks include three Razor scooters, Legos, coloring books, games & a Wii, along with a Pack ’n Play, and plastic utensils.
Inside the home, you’ll find a fresh modern split-level design spanning four floors that allow your group of 12 to get together and hang out…or find alone time, too. On the ground floor are two bedrooms -- a bunk room with two sets of twins, and a master bedroom with a king bed. These bedrooms share a convenient full bathroom. A kids lounge room boasts a Nintendo Wii, a flat-screen TV, books and games; a cozy gathering place for adults, too!
On the second floor there's a spacious open living area with a flat-screen TV, sloped wood-beam ceilings, a fireplace, and big views. The adjacent dining area seats eight is great for a holiday feast or a pre-slopes pancake breakfast! Through the glass sliding doors is your private balcony with patio dining and a BBQ grill. The spacious kitchen is perfect for dining-in with all the appliances necessary (including a dishwasher and ceramic stove) and fully stocked for entertaining. On the third floor the primary suite is outfitted with a king bed, desk area, flat-screen TV, and an en suite bathroom. Up one more set of stairs is a tucked-away kids trundle room with two twin beds and a special private nook with a trundle roll-out.
